Katrina 1On August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast regions of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.

While the national news media focused their attention primarily on the flooding in New Orleans, the utter devastation along the Mississippi Gulf Coast went largely unnoticed.

Rather than evacuate for the hurricane, the Walker’s chose to stay in their Stone County home during the storm.  When the worst had passed, the fury of Katrina was evident.

Katrina 2Through their contacts nationwide, the Walker’s began organizing various work teams and supply chains from across the country to bring in much needed supplies to the residents of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.  They worked closely with a local church and set up a distribution center in McHenry, Mississippi for the residents of mostly rural Stone County.

The work teams who have come to the Gulf Coast as a result of this ministry have helped hundreds of Gulf Coast residents:  repairing roofs, clearing storm debris, repairing houses, etc. as well as helping to distribute food and other items essential to the rebuilding process.

To the thousands of individuals from across the country and around the world who have come to the Gulf Coast region to assist in the rebuilding process:

Thank You!

Without your help, this region would not be as far along in the rebuilding process as we are.

HOW CAN I BE HEAVEN BOUND?

1. Realize that God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life, including an eternity with Him in Heaven. (John 3:16)

2. Agree with God that we've all sinned and can't attain His standard of perfection. (Romans 5:8)

3. Believe that Jesus Christ died in your place, taking the penalty that is rightly yours. (Romans 3:20)

4. Receive Jesus into your life by praying and asking Him to be your Lord and Saviour. (Rev. 3:20)

Say the following prayer to ask Jesus Christ into your life.  "Heavenly Father, I repent of my sins.  Please forgive me for my sins.  I ask Jesus Christ into my heart.  Thank you in Jesus name, Amen"

Now tell someone, "Jesus is my Lord".
